Testimonial by Dr Tukan Li

3rd November 2017

To whom it may concern

It is my pleasure to recommend Mrs. Elizabeth Darley as an elocution tutor.

As a research fellow and lecturer at University of Huddersfield (Module Leader of NFM2167, Tutor of several Modules),

Mrs. Darley was my elocution tutor between 2014 to 2016.

English is my second language. Mrs. Darley helped to improve my spoken English and deliver the lectures.

As a researcher and lecturer at University, I do know a lot of tutors.

I am a fellow of higher education academy.

I would rank Elizabeth Darley in the top 30% of tutors that I have met in respect of her ability in her elocution training and teaching skills.

From her training programme, I have learned

1) To pronounce correctly by distinguishing the sound of 's' & ‘th’: 'l' & 'n' and so on:

                                                           2.) To improve the grammar used in spoken English;

3.) To strengthen the ability in public speaking which is a fundamental skill in my career

4.) To confidently and clearly deliver lectures in the lecture theatre to 160 students.

Overall, Mrs. Darley is an excellent elocution tutor with many years’ experience and has high- grade training skills.

I give Mrs. Darley highest recommendation.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need more information.

Yours sincerely,

"I have come forward in leaps and bounds in chairing meetings during my private business coaching with Elizabeth Darley.

Clear speech is an asset in the health industry

“ Hi! I'm Julia and I really didn't like my speaking voice but patients have to listen to me. I emailed ELOCUTION SOLUTIONS and soon spoke on the phone to Mrs. Darley. She was easy to talk to. I told her I'd been putting this off for a year but that I wanted to sound more professional.

She understood and said she has a lot of experience in helping people to communicate more effectively.

I'm glad I found her because it's interesting and life-changing for me!”

SIX MONTHS PROGRAMME in

ELOCUTION and COMMUNICATION

" Hi, I'm Adam and I work in London.

It all started one day at work. I suddenly realized that I was going blank. Not a lot but just sometimes, well, too often. It's not a nice feeling to go blank when talking to a client at work. Especially a new client.

I knew I needed some professional help.

Online, I found ELOCUTION SOLUTIONS by ELIZABETH DARLEY. I chose them because they offer general speech training rather than one idea only.

I immediately phoned them to find out more. (Yes, that took a bit of courage but once I heard Mrs. Darley explain to me how she helps people to speak clearly, it was fine). I told her that I occasional go completely 'blank' at work when I'm talking in meetings, that it feels a bit embarrassing, but all I want is to come across well and to get on with the meeting I'm leading.

After a few minutes talking, I told Mrs. Darley there and then that she seemed to be the speech expert I was looking for and that she seemed to be experienced in solving my speech difficulties.

I never thought I'd be having elocution lessons or changing tack in my career. When I was 21, I got a 2:1 in History but, now that I'm twenty seven I realise that I need a more vocational qualification. I've got a new job now in a project managing company, full time. It's great that the company is funding me to go to university again while I work for them full time. I have little spare time once I keep up with work, university and Elocution Solutions homework but, already, I hear I'm sounding better at work. I don't go blank as much now and I am more self confident when talking to clients.

It's doing me a lot of good. It's more interesting than I thought it would be.

Even better, my employer is funding my course on the Elocution Solutions programme as well. I think they understand the longer term assets in this coaching- speaking clearly is important at work."
